ASHEBORO N.C. - Off parole for less than three months, a 23-year-old suspect is again facing multiple felony gun, drug, and fleeing charges after leading police from two counties on a nearly hour long pursuit early Sunday morning. In the early morning hours of September 3rd, 2023, a deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff’s was patrolling on US Hwy 220 S, near Asheboro, when they spotted a motorcycle with no license plate that shut off its lights off and made a turn on Crestview Church Rd. ASHEBORO N.C. - A Randolph County Deputy chased a vehicle on foot that was trying to flee and arrested the driver who was likely feeling a bit of déjà vu. On August 21st, 2023, while performing routine patrol in the area of Little Gate Dr., in Asheboro, a deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office spotted a vehicle parked beside the railroad tracks. According to a press release the deputy stopped to investigate and located a male subject, identified as Gregory Allen Walker, who was found asleep inside the vehicle. ASHEBORO N.C. - Two people were arrested and are now facing multiple felony drug trafficking charges after deputies located drugs on a traffic stop leading to an investigation that located more drugs and guns in a camper. On June 30th, 2023, deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on Mack Rd. in Asheboro. During a search of the vehicle the Sheriff's office says they located and seized approximately 4 ½ of Methamphetamine as well as Suboxone, Oxycodone and two firearms, according to a press release. The driver of the vehicle, identified by the Sheriff's Office as Evan Baker, was transported to the hospital for medical treatment following the traffic stop and investigators were able to obtain warrants for Baker's arrest. ASHEBORO N.C. - A traffic stop by the Asheboro Police Department's Special Enforcment Team (SET), lead to the arrest of an Asheboro man on drug trafficking charges last week. On Thursday May 4th, 2023, Officers with the Asheboro Police Department's Special Enforcement Team (SET) along with officers from the Vice/ Narcotics division initiated a traffic stop of a wanted suspect near the intersection of S Cox St and E Salisbury St. According to a police report from the department, as a result of that traffic stop Mr. Timothy Fore was arrested on an outstanding warrant for allowing an unlicensed driver, aid and abet, and driving with license revoked. ASHEBORO NC - A local man with several warrants for breaking and entering and larceny was located and arrested by police last weekend. On March 25th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Russell Walker Ave, in Randleman, after hearing a wanted suspect they were attempting to locate was in the area. When deputies arrived, they say they observed Ethan Wayne Stanley fleeing on foot. He was located hiding under an outbuilding and arrested. According to the Sheriff's Office, during a search following the arrest, marijuana and paraphernalia were in his possession. ASHEBORO N.C. - A search warrant executed last month by the Randolph County Sheriff's Office found drugs and led to the arrest of one person. According to a press release, on January 20th, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division searched a residence at 935 Teresa Way in Asheboro. During the search, detectives located and seized Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Suboxone and items of drug paraphernalia. As a result, Pamela Beth McDuffie was transported to Randolph County Jail where she was booked on multiple felony drug charges. ASHEBORO N.C. - Two individuals, both wanted by police, were involved in a 20 mile long vehicle pursuit in Archdale before being arrested yesterday. A press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says that on May 25th, 2022, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team pulled over a vehicle near Tom Hill Rd., in Archdale. That vehicle stopped briefly before fleeing the traffic stop and leading police on a 20-mile-long pursuit. The pursuit ended when officers were able to force the vehicle to stop near 10134 N. Main St. in Archdale. Pamela Grey Frisby, identified by police as the driver of the vehicle, was arrested at the scene. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office announced that an investigation into meth distribution in Randleman led to them seizing a large quantity of drugs and charging a local man with multiple counts of felony trafficking. According to a press release, on May 10th 2022, detectives, along with the Criminal Interdiction Team, executed a search warrant at a home on Cecil Norman Rd. in Randleman. According to the Sheriff's Office during that search warrant detectives located and seized approximately 315.5 grams of Heroin, approximately 2,101.1 grams (4.6 pounds) of Methamphetamine, approximately 74.8 grams of Cocaine, approximately 338 grams of Marijuana and approximately 10.3 grams of Mushrooms. ASHEBORO N.C. - Police say they arrested a man following a vehicle chase where he tried to flee on foot after the motorcycle he was driving without a license or plate broke down during the chase. The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says on April 23rd, 2022, they were involved in a pursuit with a male on a motorcycle on Roseway Rd. in Trinity after he tried to flee from police who had tried to pull him over. The driver who identified in a press release as Michael Richard English, was forced to bail on foot on Beeson Farm Rd, after his motorcycle "developed mechanical issues". ASHEBORO N.C. - A woman was arrested yesterday on a traffic stop for a warrant of indictment from the Randolph County Grand Jury. Rona Lee Brown According to information released by the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, during the February session of the Randolph County Grand Jury, a True Bill of Indictment was issued on Rona Lee Brown following an investigation by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Unit which say they seized approximately 59 grams of Methamphetamine. The indictment issued for Brown was for Felony Trafficking in Methamphetamine (2 Counts) and Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance.
