Three Dead & Two Hospitalized From Overdose, Greensboro Man Charged

ASHEBORO NC – An overdose call Saturday morning led to Liberty Police finding 3 people deceased, 2 more taken to an area and hospital, and a Greensboro man being charged in connection to the deaths. According to a press release from the Liberty Police Department, Liberty Police, Fire and Randolph County EMS were called to Johnson's Mobile Home Park on W Moffitt Ave on Saturday October 16, 2021, after receiving a call about 3 unresponsive persons. When they arrived they found 3 individuals who were deceased and another 2 individuals police described as very ill. Those two persons were treated at Chatham Hospital and later released. I-85 Shutdown Due To Multi-Vehicle Accident

(Map by Open Street Maps) ASHEBORO (ACME NEWS) - I-85 NB is shutdown between Liberty Dr. and Finch Farm Rd due to a multi-vehicle accident. Randolph County 911 Guil-Rand Fire and 3 EMS units to the crash involving two tractor trailers and three other vehicle. Davidson county crews have also been notified and are responding. Emergency crews have called for NC DOT to help shut the highway down. This is a live news story and will be updated as more information is made available.

Around 1 AM, Randolph County 911 received a call about several shots being fired on Arrow St at the Town and Country Mobile Home Park on Hwy 64 West. According to police radio traffic, the caller reported someone was laying on the ground.
