ASHEBORO N.C. - A local school counselor who recently resigned after allegations that he was messaging students inappropriately is now facing multiple felony sex crime charges. According to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on May 29th 2022, they received a report of sexual offense allegations against Adam David Duncan. Between May 29th and May 30th 2022 at least 2 former students posted screenshots on Facebook of messages they say they had received from Duncan, both when they were still students as well as recently. According to Randolph County Schools Duncan worked at Wheatmore High School from August 15th 2012 until he transferred to Liberty Elementary School on August 19th 2019. ASHEBORO N.C. - A local man was arrested on warrants from both the Randolph County Sheriffs Office and the Asheboro Police Department for alleged sex crimes involving a child. On December 22, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of a sexual offense allegedly committed by Luis Enrique Torres. That investigation led Detectives from the Sheriff's Office's Criminal Investigations Division to seek charges for two counts of Felony Indecent Liberties with aChild, Felony Statutory Sex Offense with a Child, and Misdemeanor Harassing Phone Calls. ASHEBORO N.C. - Police arrested a man after they say he traveled to Ramseur to meet a juvenile with the intent to trade money for sex. On February 24, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Team took a report of child sexual solicitation. In a press release they identified the perpetrator as Timothy James Norton of Siler City, NC. Norton was arrested after police say he traveled to Ramseur to meet a juvenile with the intentions of exchanging money for sex. Asheboro Man Charged With Kidnapping / Sexually Abusing Child

ASHEBORO NC - An Asheboro man was has been charged with kidnapped and sexually abused a child. According to police reports Justine Wayne Queen was arrested on Thursday, March 18th. Queen has been charged with felony first-degree kidnapping and seven counts of felony statutory sex offense with a child less than 15. Queen is being held at the Randolph County Jail under a $1 million secured bond.
