ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office is investigating what it believes to be a murder suicide that occurred overnight in Archdale. According to a press release, at around 4:55 am this morning, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Huff Rd., Archdale. The caller reported being onthe phone with a male subject living on Huff Rd., who was threatening to shoot himself. Thecaller reported hearing a gunshot and the conversation ended. When police arrived at the home no one responded, and deputies forced entry where they then located two male subjects in the residence. On October 8, 2022, at approximately 11:06 am, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for a gunshot wound near the intersection of Roy Farlow Rd. and Archdale Rd. in Trinity. According to released 911 audio, a man who called 911 said he had stopped on Roy Farlow Rd to give an unknown female with no shoes walking on the side of the road, a ride to the local fire station. On September 26th, 2022, just after 1pm officers from the Asheboro Police Department’s Patrol Division were dispatched to 337 Hamlin Street Asheboro in reference to a shooting. According to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, at approximately 5:00 pm deputies responded to awelfare check on Cable Creek Rd., in Asheboro. A press release says when deputies arrived a male subject exited the residence with a firearm before retreating into the residence, then fleeing out the back on foot, still armed. ASHEBORO N.C. - Police are working to understand what led to a shooting last night in Asheboro that left a local man shot in the foot. On August 5th, 2022, at approximately 2am, patrol officers with the Asheboro Police Department were dispatched to a mobile home on Walnut Street, in reference to a gunshot wound. According to a press release from the Asheboro Police Department this morning, when officers arrived and entered the residence they located one white male victim, identified as Randal Clay Allred, with a gunshot wound to his right foot. Police Investigating Shooting Earlier This Month That Left One Dead

ASHEBORO N.C. - A local man was killed in a shooting in Asheboro earlier this month and now police are asking for information from the public. According to information from Robbie Brown Asst Chief and of the Asheboro Police Department just before midnight on July 9th 2022, officers responded to a disorderly call for service at 219 Dunlap Street in Asheboro. When they arrived they located a Hispanic male laying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshots wounds. The victim, 35-year-old Sergio Espinosa Ramirez of Asheboro died from the wounds he received. Police are actively investigating the shooting and are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Kallam at 336-626-1300 ext 317. Just after 8pm, police, firefighters, and paramedics were dispatched to Cross St for a call about a gunshot wound. Within minutes Randolph County 911 received a 2nd call for a gunshot wound on nearby Frank St. Randolph County EMS transported and unknown number of people from the scene. Randolph Hospital's emergency room was temporarily placed on lockdown with Deputies from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office stationed out front and on White Oak st. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Asheboro Police Department says two suspects of a possible home invasion were injured after the homeowner opened fire, hitting them both this morning. This morning just after 4:30 am, officers with the Asheboro Police Department's patrol division were dispatched to the area of Underwood Street in reference to a 911 hang-up call. The officers learned from 911 that there was a subject with a gunshot wound nearby at 1634 Traci Street. When officers arrived on Traci Street they located a male at the rear of the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Asheboro Police Department has announced today that they have charged four individuals in connection with the shooting of a 17 year-old on Millikan Ave back on March 19th 2022. In a press release sent out today, the Asheboro Police Department announced that on the March 29th 2022 Detective L. Johnson with the Asheboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division secured charges on four individuals for the shooting of a 17 year-old juvenile which occurred back on March 19th 2022 on Millikan Avenue in Asheboro.
