ASHEBORO N.C. - The law finally caught up with a wanted suspect, who allegedly stole internet and telephone lines then fled from police in late June, after he was arrested and is in jail facing fifty-two warrants and charges from three counties. Charles Anthony Cox was wanted in Randolph County in connection with an incident in late June of 2023, when the Sheriff’s Office responded to Zoo Parkway, in Asheboro for a suspicious vehicle in the area. In that incident, police alleged that Cox fled from deputies attempting to pull him over, before dumping his passenger, and later his vehicle, and escaping on foot. ASHEBORO N.C. - Police are looking for a wanted suspect who allegedly stole internet and telephone lines then fled from police earlier this week on Zoo Parkway. On June 20th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Zoo Parkway, in Asheboro, after being notified of a suspicious vehicle in the area. According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies located the vehicle on the right shoulder of Zoo Parkway with a male subject standing near the front passenger side of the vehicle and a female in the passenger seat.
