ASHEBORO N.C. – A search warrant at a home in Seagrove last month located drugs, cash and two guns and led to the arrest of one person who is now facing felony trafficking charges.
On March 29, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division concluded an investigation related to the distribution of narcotics in Randolph County. Detectives, along with the Criminal Interdiction Team and the Seagrove Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence located on Auman St. in Seagrove, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office says their detectives located and seized a Trafficking amount of Cocaine (115.4 grams), Marijuana, US Currency and two firearms.
Jorge Alberto Villalta was placed under arrest and transported to Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for multiple drug charges. He was given a $250,000 secured bond plus Electronic House Arrest. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 26th, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
