September Grand Jury Returns Indictments for Two Suspects

ASHEBORO N.C. – The September session of the Randolph County Grand Jury returned indictments for two individuals, one for a sex crime, and the other for drug charges.

Lauren Elizabeth Fulk Frank

  • Felony – Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine (x2 counts)
  • Felony – Maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance (x2 counts)
  • Felony – Manufacture/sell/deliver/possess controlled substance w/in 1,000 ft of school

$30,000 secured bond

Lauren Elizabeth Fulk Frank was indicted on several felony drug charges related to an investigation conducted by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit.

She was served on September 20, 2023, and received a $30,000 secured bond. A court date is set for September 25, 2023, in Randolph County Superior Court.


Carlos Castaneda Navarrette

  • Felony – Indecent liberties with a child

Carlos Castenada Navarrette was indicted for a sex crime involving a minor relating to an investigation in June of 2022 by the Randolph County Criminal Investigations Division.

On September 19, 2023, Navarrette was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center.  He was taken before the magistrate, where he was served the order for arrest and issued a written promise to appear and set the next court date for September 25, 2023, in Randolph County Superior Court.
