A vehicle crash has shutdown I-73/74 in both directions near exit 66 (New Hope Church Rd).
According to drivenc.gov a vehicle crash between mile-marker 68 and 69 has shutdown traffic on I-73/74 in both directions in Randolph County at Mile Marker 12, Near Seagrove / New Hope Church Road. Current estimates say the interstate may not reopen until 5 p.m.
We are still reaching out to authorities for details of the crash and no information is currently available.
According to photos published by Alex Perdue News on Facebook traffic is being diverted off the highway at exit 68 New Hope Church Rd on the southbound lanes.
