Man Accused Of Shooting At Stripper In FL Arrested In Randolph Co.

ASHEBORO NC- A Brooklyn man accused of shooting at a stripper in Miami Beach and stealing a car in Maryland was arrested on a traffic stop in Randolph County on Monday.

Tremain Christopher Weekes

According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff’s Office on May 3, 2021, the Highway Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on I-85 in Archdale. The driver, Tremain Christopher Weekes of Brooklyn NY, was wanted out of Florida for Failure to Appear for Attempted Murder.

The attempted murder charge stems from an incident on October 8th, 2020, in Miami Beach. According to a Miami Police Department report, Weekes had hired two female dancers to meet him after their shift at a hotel where he and another male paid them $1000 for a private dance. The dancers turned down a request to have sex with Weeks and told police after doing so Weekes’ mood changed. The Dancers spotted a firearm in the room but were both able to leave and made it to their cars. Weekes followed the dancers to the valet and began to chase after one of them before firing several shots at her car.
The woman called the police and luckily only suffered some lacerations to her arm due to shattered glass but was not struck directly by any of the gunshots.

Weekes was also wanted out of Maryland for Failure to Appear for the Theft of Motor Vehicle. Weekes was transported to Randolph County Detention Center and is currently under an $800,000 Secured Bond awaiting Extradition.
