What Happened? On Tuesday, April 16th at approximately 9:07 a.m. the Archdale Police Department was called about a male suspect who entered the business of Carolina Container and fired multiple shots before fleeing the area in a white truck.According to the Archdale Police Department no one was injured in the shooting and a description of a male suspect was gathered. According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, just after 4 a.m. on February 16th, 2024, deputies responded to Oakland Ave., Asheboro, for a reported hit-and-run involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The male victim was located unresponsive on the ground and the driver of the vehicle had fled the area. EMS responded and the victim was airlifted to an area hospital. ASHEBORO N.C. - Charges are stacking up against a suspect with several active warrants who fled on foot from deputies and was located hiding in a crawlspace by a police K9. According to a press release, on July 13th, 2023, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Detective in the area of Erect Rd., Seagrove, observed a male subject acting suspicious. Upon the detective pulling into the driveway of the residence the male fled on foot. The detective was advised that the male was James Henry Bolton-McKee, who had active warrants for his arrest. ASHEBORO N.C. - The law finally caught up with a wanted suspect, who allegedly stole internet and telephone lines then fled from police in late June, after he was arrested and is in jail facing fifty-two warrants and charges from three counties. Charles Anthony Cox was wanted in Randolph County in connection with an incident in late June of 2023, when the Sheriff’s Office responded to Zoo Parkway, in Asheboro for a suspicious vehicle in the area. In that incident, police alleged that Cox fled from deputies attempting to pull him over, before dumping his passenger, and later his vehicle, and escaping on foot. ASHEBORO N.C. - Police are looking for a wanted suspect who allegedly stole internet and telephone lines then fled from police earlier this week on Zoo Parkway. On June 20th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Zoo Parkway, in Asheboro, after being notified of a suspicious vehicle in the area. ASHEBORO N.C. - Deputies located a man with multiple warrants sleeping in a barn in Randleman earlier this week. On April 16, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Stanton Farm Rd. and Hockett Dairy Rd., in Randleman, to locate wanted subject, Steven Lamar Hughes, Jr. According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, Hughes was located sleeping in the loft of a barn and was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served with three orders for arrest out of Davidson County and received a $7,500 secured bond. ASHEBORO N.C. - A local man who fled from house arrest almost a year ago, led Police in Asheboro on a foot chase before being arrested last week.  Jordan Lamar Billings placed on EHA with Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on July 29th, 2021, for multiple charges. According to a press release on December 7th, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers received information that Billings monitoring device was not charged, leading them to discover that Billings had let the bracelet go dead, cut it off, and left it in a mailbox.  The Sheriff’s Office obtained an Order for Arrest for Billings for Violation of Pre-Trial Conditions of Release/EHA. On February 18th, 2022, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office notified Randolph County 911 that they had just been in a vehicle pursuit with a suspect identified as Jonathan Luke Edwards. ASHEBORO NC- A Brooklyn man accused of shooting at a stripper in Miami Beach and stealing a car in Maryland was arrested on a traffic stop in Randolph County on Monday. Tremain Christopher Weekes According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office on May 3, 2021, the Highway Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on I-85 in Archdale. The driver, Tremain Christopher Weekes of Brooklyn NY, was wanted out of Florida for Failure to Appear for Attempted Murder. The attempted murder charge stems from an incident on October 8th, 2020, in Miami Beach.
