ASHEBORO N.C. - The Asheboro Police Department has announced today that they have charged four individuals in connection with the shooting of a 17 year-old on Millikan Ave back on March 19th 2022. In a press release sent out today, the Asheboro Police Department announced that on the March 29th 2022 Detective L. Johnson with the Asheboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division secured charges on four individuals for the shooting of a 17 year-old juvenile which occurred back on March 19th 2022 on Millikan Avenue in Asheboro. ASHEBORO N.C. - Last night deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office responded to a fatal stabbing at a home in Thomasville. On March 29, 2022, at around 10:00 pm, the deputies were called to a home on Reddy Foxx Ln. in Thomasville after getting a call about a stabbing. Police say when they arrived the located a man on the porch of the home suffering from stab wounds. The victim, who police identified as Randy Hunt, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The resident, Fred Thomas Dyles, Jr., who was also the one who called 911, identified the victim as his neighbor. Dyles reported that Hunt had attempted to break into his home and he had stabbed him. ASHEBORO N.C. (ACME NEWS) - No one was injured in a house fire in Asheboro where firefighters arrived to find a fully involved house fire Friday afternoon. Just before 2:30 pm, on Friday March 25th 2022, Firefighters with the Asheboro Fire Department were called to a house on N Church Street. First unit to arrive on scene advised a small house was fully involved. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in just under an hour. The house involved was a total loss and the American Red Cross was called in to assist the residents who were displaced. The heat from the fire also damaged a neighbor's fence and siding and power had to be temporarily cut off after live power lines began arching and shooting out sparks. The afternoon of Tuesday March 22nd officers with the Asheboro Police Department had been on the scene of a shooting on Kemp Blvd where a 19-year-old and two juveniles had been shot for just shy of two hours. A press release from the Asheboro Police Department says at around 4:30 pm, patrol officers were dispatched to the area of Coleridge Road near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in reference to a shooting. Arriving officers found 3 victims, a 19 year old male and two juveniles who had all been shot. (Scott Pelkey / Acme News) All individuals were transported to a local medical facility. On March 18th 2022, Officers with the Asheboro Police Department responded to Glenwood Rd in reference to a welfare check on a male subject. Officers spoke with the homeowner who said there was a male subject standing by the creek on his property. According to a police report the homeowner told police he had asked the subject multiple times to leave the property and that the subject was attempting to start a fire in a bird bath.
