[UPDATED - SCROLL TO BOTTOM OF STORY FOR UPDATE] ASHEBORO N.C. - The Asheboro Police Department announced today in a press release that they are investigating a fight that broke out at Lucky's Burger N Tap last weekend. The fight took place Sunday night/Monday morning sometime after 1am at the Asheboro bar and restaurant. The ordeal was captured on video and later posted on Facebook. Broken up into stories with some posted out of order, the video shows how the fight starts as well as the fight itself and the aftermath of broken glass and knocked over tables and chairs. Since being posted on Jan 24th 2022 the video has been share almost 20,000 times with over 1,400 comments and reactions. Search Warrant on Asheboro Home Finds Drugs & Gun, 4 People Charged

ASHEBORO N.C. - Four people have been charged after the Asheboro Police Departments Vice Narcotics unit conducted a search warrant on a home on N Elm St last month. Sometime in early January, Detectives with the Asheboro Vice/Narcotics unit say there were able to make a controlled purchase of crack cocaine using a confidential informant at a home on N. Elm St. Using evidence from that purchase police were able to obtain a search warrant for the home on Jan 13th 2022. On January 14th 2022, Detectives with the Asheboro Vice/Narcotics and Special Enforcement Team, executed that search warrant. VICE Search Warrant Locates Drugs, Guns, Stolen Vehicle, 2 Arrested

ASHEBORO N.C. - Asheboro Police Departments VICE/Narcotics unit conducted a search warrant on a home last Wednesday that landed 2 people in jail and located drugs as well as several stolen guns and a stolen vehicle. According to a police report from the Asheboro Police Department on Wednesday Jan 26th 2022 the VICE/Narcotics team along with the Special Enforcement Team (SET) and the Department’s SWAT team conducted a search warrant on a home at 640 Tucker St in Asheboro. Resident Dies At Asheboro Nursing Home, Found Outside Collapsed In Snow

On the morning of Saturday January 29th 2022, a winter storm dropped 1-2” of snow across Randolph County and plunged temperatures into the teens. At around 07:00 am, a worker at Northpointe Assisted Living Facility on Pineview Rd in Randleman called 911 after finding 89-year-old Thelma Lorraine Armstrong Wray collapsed on the ground outside. She had no pulse and was not breathing. Two People Airlifted Overnight After Asheboro Shooting

ASHEBORO N.C. (ACME NEWS) - Two people had to be airlifted from Randolph Hospital overnight following a Shooting on Cedar Falls Rd in Asheboro. According to a press release from the Asheboro Police Department, last night at around 11:40pm officers from the Asheboro Police Department were dispatched to 1012 Cedar Falls Road in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived they located a male victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound in a small building behind the residence. A police report from the Asheboro Police Department shows that on January 10th 2022, at 5:07 P.M. officers responded to the 900 block of Martin Luther King Jr Dr after getting calls about multiple shots fired in the area. According to several police reports from the Asheboro Police Department, their VICE unit along with agents from NC Alcohol Law Enforcement conducted undercover buys of alcohol using an underage operative over a three day span from Dec 6th through Dec 8th 2021. Local Man Arrested On Drug Trafficking Charges At Motel 6

ASHEBORO N.C. — A Randleman man was arrested on Drug trafficking charges earlier this week. According to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, on December 22nd, 2021, their Vice and Narcotics unit working with the Asheboro Police Department concluded an investigation after receiving information about an the distribution of Heroin and Fentanyl in Asheboro.That investigation led detectives to execute a search warrant at the Motel 6 in Asheboro at 827 Albemarle Rd.
