Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrest in 2014 Cold Case

ASHEBORO N.C. - On February 7th, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office announced they had made an arrest in connection with the 2014 murder of Tammy Sellers Holland. Holland, who was found stabbed to death inside her home on October 28, 2014. According to the information from the Sheriff's Office, on the day Holland’s body was discovered, a neighbor who had been attempting to contact Holland went to the residence after work to check on her in person. When Holland didn’t come to the door, the neighbor peered in the window and saw Holland in the living room and called 911. According to the autopsy report released by the N.C. Wife Accused of Murdering Firefighter Receives $1-million Bond

MJ Auman, a firefighter with the Seagrove Fire Dept, died of a fatal gunshot wound on June 25th, 2022. An investigation by the Randolph County Sheriff's Office led to charges against the wife Heather Auman who has been confined at the Randolph County Jail without bond, facing a charge of first-degree murder since June 29th, 2022. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Ramseur Police Department say they have charged a Randleman man with first degree murder after a child died from suspected abuse. On Aug 31st, 2021, Investigators with the Ramseur Police Department received a call from the Randolph Health Emergency Department about a 14-month-old child that had sustained serious injuries related to suspected child abuse. ASHEBORO NC – Three people are in jail this morning, two of them facing murder charges in connection with a body that was found in a wooded area in Asheboro earlier this month. According to a press release from the Asheboro Police Department on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at approximately 10:27 PM, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Burns Street for a possible deceased person. Murder Suspect Arrested After High Speed Chase

ASHEBORO NC - A murder suspect is in custody leading police on a high-speed chase through Randolph County overnight. According to a press release by the Asheboro Police Department, on Sunday, March 25, 2021, at 2:09 AM, officers were dispatched to 340 Brookside Drive in Asheboro for a call about an unknown medical situation. Suspect Wanted For Murder After Asheboro Stabbing

ASHEBORO NC - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office is asking for help locating a suspect wanted in connection to a murder. According to a press release on Saturday, April 3, 2021, deputies received a call about a stabbing at 219 Emmanuel Church Road in Asheboro. The deputies arrived and located Harold Stephen King who was deceased inside the residence. The press releases says an investigation led them to a suspect identified as Brian Cody King, who deputies believe had stabbed the victim and then left with a female. Several hours later, the female King had left with was dropped off at an unnamed location in Thomasville, where she then called 911.
