ASHEBORO NC – A man is in jail today after he led sheriff’s deputies on a high speed chase that ended in Montgomery County. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s office just after 11 PM on October 29th, 2021 they pulled over a driver just south of the Ulah Troy exit on I-73/74. Police say that as the deputy approached the vehicle, the driver sped off getting back onto I-73/74 heading south.A vehicle pursuit ensued, with speeds reading almost 100 mph according to law enforcement radio traffic. The driver took the Seagrove exit, where according to the Sheriff’s office he briefly stopped at the top of the exit ramp and a passenger fled on foot. According to information from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on October 2, 2021, a deputy tried to pull over a vehicle on Hwy 311 near Shean Dr in Archdale. Police say the driver immediately sped off starting a vehicle pursuit. The chase left 311 on to Tom Hill Rd then on to Trinity Rd. and NC HWY 62. That's when police say the driver lost control of the vehicle near the 5200 block of NC HWY 62 leaving the roadway and colliding with trees. According to a press release by the High Point Police Department on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at approximately 4:54 PM, High Point officers came in contact with a delivery driver for Domino's Pizza who reported he had been robbed by five male suspects while he was making a delivery to a house at 633 Paramount St. According to police that house was recently vacated. Photo by: Acme News Archive ASHEBORO NC - A suspect with active warrants was able to elude police after a short vehicle chase Thursday afternoon. According to a police report from the Asheboro Police Department an officer stopped a white Toyota Rav4 at the intersection of Dublin St and Parkview. The officer reported that the driver was known to have a warrant for his arrest. When the officer asked the suspect to step out of the vehicle the suspect instead step off leading officers on a short vehicle chase before bailing out on foot on Kemp Blvd. Officers searched the area but were unable to located the suspect, No injuries were reported.

Acme News ASHEBORO NC (ACME NEWS) - A vehicle chase which started in Asheboro ended in an arrest this evening. The Asheboro Police Department was not immediately available to comment. From 911 radio traffic we know the chase started in or near Asheboro and wound up on I-73/74 SB going for over 20 miles into Montgomery County, and reaching speeds of 120mph. Asheboro Police Department, Deputies with the Randolph & Montgomery County Sheriffs Office, and State Troopers with the NC Highway patrol were all involved. ASHEBORO N.C. - A High Point Man is facing multiple charges after fleeing from police.  According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on May 3, 2021, a Deputy tried to pull a vehicle over on S. Main Street in Archdale. The driver, who was later identified as Evan Dale Parrish, keep driving and police began a pursuit. When Parrish approached the intersection of N. Main St. and NC Highway 62, he attempted to make a left turn onto Trindale Road, lost control of his vehicle, and collided with several vehicles in the Southbound lanes. Once Parrish regained control he continued to travel north on Main Street towards High Point. ASHEBORO NC - A murder suspect is in custody leading police on a high-speed chase through Randolph County overnight. According to a press release by the Asheboro Police Department, on Sunday, March 25, 2021, at 2:09 AM, officers were dispatched to 340 Brookside Drive in Asheboro for a call about an unknown medical situation. When officers arrived they discovered 55-year-old Sherrie Shaw deceased in the residence.
