Search Warrant on Asheboro Home Finds Drugs & Gun, 4 People Charged

ASHEBORO N.C. - Four people have been charged after the Asheboro Police Departments Vice Narcotics unit conducted a search warrant on a home on N Elm St last month. Sometime in early January, Detectives with the Asheboro Vice/Narcotics unit say there were able to make a controlled purchase of crack cocaine using a confidential informant at a home on N. Elm St. Using evidence from that purchase police were able to obtain a search warrant for the home on Jan 13th 2022. On January 14th 2022, Detectives with the Asheboro Vice/Narcotics and Special Enforcement Team, executed that search warrant. ASHEBORO N.C. - Asheboro Police Departments VICE/Narcotics unit conducted a search warrant on a home last Wednesday that landed 2 people in jail and located drugs as well as several stolen guns and a stolen vehicle. According to a police report from the Asheboro Police Department on Wednesday Jan 26th 2022 the VICE/Narcotics team along with the Special Enforcement Team (SET) and the Department’s SWAT team conducted a search warrant on a home at 640 Tucker St in Asheboro. Police say they seized suspected cocaine, crack, and marijuana along with two stolen firearms. Police also say they located a stolen vehicle at the home. ASHEBORO NC – We are just learning details about drug bust back in June that resulted in 1 person being arrested and almost 10 grams of meth being seized. John Chester Reed According to Asheboro Assistant Chief of Police Robbie Brown, the department's Vice/Narcotics units Detectives utilized an undercover officer to make purchases of suspected methamphetamine from a resident at 322 Brookside Drive in Asheboro on two separate occasions. The evidence obtained from those undercover buys resulted in police arresting 33 year old John Chester Reed for Felony Selling / Delivering of a Schedule II Drug. Several years later the Motel 6 location has become a physical embodiment of the drug and crime problem that has plagued Randolph County.  Our investigation began on Friday, August 25th, 2021, when just after 11 AM, police, fire, and EMS crews were called to the motel for a report of a cardiac arrest. ASHEBORO NC - A joint investigation between the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and the Asheboro Police Department has landed two people in jail on felony drug trafficking charges. In a press release, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says their Vice/Narcotics Unit and the Asheboro Police Departments Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a joint investigation into the distribution of Methamphetamine in the Asheboro area. On August 3rd that investigation led to a traffic stop of a car driven by Crystal Lilly Chiappini and Matthew Charles Chiappini, on I-73 in Randleman. Police say a search of the vehicle resulted in officers finding and seizing a trafficking amount of Methamphetamine.
