RANDLEMAN N.C. – A driver was charged with driving under the influence last night after crashing into a bar in Randleman.
At around 10:30 p.m., Randleman Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into Red Zone Sports Bar & Grill, located at 725 S Main St, in Randleman.
Emergency crews arrived to find a dark GMC SUV that had crashed through a gate and into the east side of the building.
Randolph County EMS responded to the scene to evaluate the driver, who refused transport to the hospital. No other injuries were reported.
The Randleman Police Department investigated the crash, which led to 27-year-old Peyton Alley Clark being issued a summons for driving under the influence.
UPDATE 11/15/23 5PM – Tuesday afternoon Red Zone Sports Bar & Grill took to social media to post about the incident, saying they will be closed until further notice as they work to repair the damage from the incident.
