ASHEBORO N.C. — Video evidence led to the arrest of a suspect attempting to report his car stolen after fleeing from police, according to the Sheriff’s Office. On March 25th, 2024, at around 9 p.m., a Deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull over a vehicle near the intersection of Kamerin St. and Caudle Rd. in Randleman. According to a press release, that vehicle quickly turned into a driveway, turned off its headlights, and jumped out of the driver's door and fled on foot behind the residence. The Sheriff’s Office says there was a short foot pursuit, but the officer returned to the vehicle to check for passengers and call-in backup. Driver Charged with DUI After Crashing into Randleman Bar

RANDLEMAN N.C. - A driver was charged with driving under the influence last night after crashing into a bar in Randleman.  At around 10:30 p.m., Randleman Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into Red Zone Sports Bar & Grill, located at 725 S Main St, in Randleman.  Emergency crews arrived to find a dark GMC SUV that had crashed through a gate and into the east side of the building. Randolph County EMS responded to the scene to evaluate the driver, who refused transport to the hospital. No other injuries were reported.  The Randleman Police Department investigated the crash, which led to 27-year-old Peyton Alley Clark being issued a summons for driving under the influence. RANDLEMAN N.C. - A search warrant in Randleman located heroin, cash, and a stolen firearm and led to the arrest of one person who is now facing felony drug and gun charges. On July 7th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit, assisted by the Criminal Interdiction Team and Randleman Police Department, concluded an investigation relating to the distribution of narcotics in Randolph County. That investigation led to police obtaining a search warrant for a home on E. Naomi Street in Randleman. Detectives say in that home, they located and seized a trafficking amount of Heroin, US Currency, and a firearm which had been reported stolen. RANDLEMAN N.C. - Two people were arrested earlier this week on felony drug charges following a search warrant at a Randleman home. On June 21st, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division concluded an investigation related to the distribution of narcotics in Randolph County. Detectives, assisted by the Criminal Interdiction Team and Randleman Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence located on Worthville St. in Randleman. According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, during the search, Detectives located and seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, items of drug paraphernalia and US Currency. On April 25th, 2023, at around 3:30 pm, Randleman Fire Department and Randolph County EMS were dispatched to the Wendy's located at 1029 High Point St, in Randleman for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into the building. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office, deputies with the Vice and Narcotics Division assisted by the Winston Salem Police Department, Asheboro Police Department, Randleman Police Department, NC State Bureau of Investigation and US Drug Enforcement Administration concluded an investigation related to the distribution of Methamphetamine in the Randleman area.
