ASHEBORO NC – A local man with several warrants for breaking and entering and larceny was located and arrested by police last weekend.
On March 25th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Russell Walker Ave, in Randleman, after hearing a wanted suspect they were attempting to locate was in the area.
When deputies arrived, they say they observed Ethan Wayne Stanley fleeing on foot. He was located hiding under an outbuilding and arrested.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, during a search following the arrest, marijuana and paraphernalia were in his possession. Stanley was issued a citation for marijuana before being transported to the Randolph County jail, where methamphetamine was located during the booking process.
Once before the magistrate, four warrants were served for multiple charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, misdemeanor attempted larceny and one count misdemeanor trespassing. One order for arrest for failure to appear on felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after break/entering, and felony possession of stolen goods charges. The magistrate also found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.
He was issued a $29,000 total secured bond and a first appearance was set for March 27, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
