SEAGROVE N.C. – Two parents have been arrested and charged with felony child abuse after an investigation into the death of a five-year-old female in Seagrove according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
On July 24, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for service at Needhams Trail in Seagrove, for a welfare check.
Patrol deputies located a deceased female juvenile five years of age. Detectives and investigators responded and began an investigation and collected evidence. That investigation led to the arrest of Christina Ashley Myers and Billy Gene Myers, the parents of the decedent.
Christina and Billy Myers were taken to the Randolph County Jail where the magistrate found probable cause for the charge of felony child abuse.
Christina Myers and Billy Myers each received a $250,000 secured bond and were due in court today.
