Storywalks are panels with pages of a children’s book spaced along the path in local parks, allowing children and families to take in a story along with their walk. According to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on March 2nd, 2023, the departments Vice and Narcotics Division searched a residence on Sunset View Dr. in Archdale, NC. During the search, detectives located and seized a trafficking amount of Methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia, leading to charges for four individuals. The events will be held on Monday, March 13, from 4-7 p.m. at the Asheboro Campus in rooms 111 and 117 of the Business Education Center and on Wednesday, March 15, from 4-7 p.m. at the Archdale Center in rooms 321 and 322 of the Archdale Center. ASHEBORO N.C. - A stranded motorist and a driver were taken to the hospital yesterday after the driver crashed into a disabled vehicle on US 311. At 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023, the State Highway Patrol responded to the report of a crash that occurred on US 311 near Banner Whitehead Road in Randolph County. According to a press release from the NC Highway Patrol, William Greenleaf Golden's 2003 Dodge Durango SUV had become disabled due to an electrical malfunction and was parked partially in the southbound lane of US 311. Graciela Nieblas Jimenez, 59, of Thomasville, N.C., was traveling southeast on US 311 in a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office is investigating what it believes to be a murder suicide that occurred overnight in Archdale. According to a press release, at around 4:55 am this morning, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Huff Rd., Archdale. The caller reported being onthe phone with a male subject living on Huff Rd., who was threatening to shoot himself. Thecaller reported hearing a gunshot and the conversation ended. When police arrived at the home no one responded, and deputies forced entry where they then located two male subjects in the residence. On September 13, 2022, at approximately 4:21 am, Randolph County 911 operators began receiving calls reporting burglaries of vehicles in the Sophia, Archdale, and Trinity areas. That morning deputies responded to thirty seperate addresses by 9 am and reported fifty vehicles had been entered. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Sheriff's Office says a local homeowner called to report a burglary after he arrived home to find a man wearing only a blanket trying to steal their ATV. On July 25th, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Driftwood Dr., in Archdale, after receiving a call about a burglary in progress. According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, when the victim returned home along with finding his dogs had been let out and his ATV was missing from his carport, he also noticed a man in the woods without any clothing on. (ACME NEWS) - A woman was arrested Friday night on multiple felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic violations after police say she led them on a vehicle chased that ended in a crash in the Archdale/Trinity area. A press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says that on June 10, 2022, a deputy tried to pull over a driver near Trinity Road. That driver refused to stop and led police on a high speed vehicle chase. According to 911 radio traffic the driver of the vehicle turned on to Fairview Church Road and then on to Flora Mae Drive where the suspects vehicle lost control at the top of a hill on Flora Mae Drive leading to the vehicle rolling over.
