Asheboro Vehicle Chase Ends In Crash & Arrest
ASHEBORO N.C. — A vehicle chase involving a suspect driving a stolen vehicle in Asheboro last Saturday ended after that suspect crashed, ran from police before being caught and was arrested.
According to information from the Asheboro Police Department Officer Bym attempted to pull over a 2015 Red Kia Rio which had been reported stolen to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. Police say the vehicle failed to stop and attempted to flee starting a vehicle pursuit. That pursuit only went for 6.2 miles before ending after the vehicle crashed near a home in the 3500 block of NC Hwy 42. The suspect was able to flee on foot but was arrested after a short foot chase.
