ASHEBORO NC - According to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office a local man has been charged with Disseminating Obscene Material to Minors. A press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says the Criminal Investigation Division Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) division received information that an individual by the name of Justin Christopher McKinney was Disseminating Obscene Material to Minors. Justin Christopher McKinney Detectives began an investigation and on March 16th, 2021, Warrants for Arrest were issued for McKinney for two counts Felony Disseminate Obscene Material to Minor. Liberty Man Arrested On Trafficking Charges

ASHEBORO NC - A Liberty man was arrested in a parking lot in Staley on drug trafficking charges. That's according to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. They say on March 10th, 2021, the departments Vice and Narcotics Division concluded an investigation related to the distribution of Cocaine in the Liberty / Staley area. Detectives executed a search warrant at an address in Liberty. A search warrant was also executed on a vehicle that was parked at a business in Staley. During the search, detectives say they located and seized a trafficking amount of Cocaine, items of drug paraphernalia, and US Currency. Missing Man Arrested After Assaulting Paramedic

ASHEBORO NC - - A paramedic had to be taken to the hospital for evaluation after being assaulted by a missing person Wednesday. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on March 10th, 2021, deputies were called to the area of Robbins Country Rd. in Trinity to check on someone.They located a man sitting on the front porch of the residence who was police say was apparently impaired by an unknown substance and unable to provide his name. Randolph County EMS responded to evaluate the subject. While EMS was providing medical care, the police say that the male subject assaulted a paramedic. Tractor Theft Leads To Arrest

ASHEBORO NC - A man is in jail in connection to the theft of a tractor. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office on October 12th, of 2020 deputies responded to a call about a stolen Kubota tractor on Tobacco Rd. in Trinity. The Randolph County Sherriff's Office released surveillance camera photos that showed a tall white male with a white truck and a trailer and asked for help from the public. According to a press release the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) received information that an individual by the name of Luis Armando Diaz-Otero was possessing/producing numerous child pornography files. According to a press release on January 21, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 85. Deputies searched the vehicle which led to the seizure of a firearm and counterfeit currency. The passenger of the vehicle, Tevin Kade Guillory, was also found to be a fugitive out of Louisiana. Seventeen-year-old Payton is being relocated from the Memphis Zoo as part of its breeding efforts. Payton was named after Walter Payton – the late running back for the Chicago Bears NFL team. He was born on was born Nov. 8, 2003, at the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago but was moved to the Memphis Zoo in 2006. “Seeing Payton leave is bittersweet.
