Forecasters with the National Weather Service in Raleigh have issued a Hazardous weather outlook for central North Carolina, with a storms, excessive rainfall, and heat all forecasted for Wednesday and Thursday.
This evening there is a Marginal Risk of severe weather across portions of central NC. Gusty winds, frequent lightning, and brief periods of heavy rain can be expected with the strongest storms.Then a Slight Risk (Level 2) of severe weather on Wednesday and Thursday. Gusty winds, frequent lightning, and periods of heavy rain which could result in flash flooding are all possible Wednesday afternoon and again Thursday afternoon.
