ASHEBORO N.C. - Police are looking for a wanted suspect who allegedly stole internet and telephone lines then fled from police earlier this week on Zoo Parkway. On June 20th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Zoo Parkway, in Asheboro, after being notified of a suspicious vehicle in the area. According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies located the vehicle on the right shoulder of Zoo Parkway with a male subject standing near the front passenger side of the vehicle and a female in the passenger seat. ASHEBORO N.C. - Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with an April vehicle chase in Trinity. On April 22, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says their deputies were involved in a vehicle chase and manhunt in Trinty. According to a press release, deputies initiated a traffic stop on Finch Farm Rd., in Trinity. ASHEBORO N.C. - Last week a manhunt triggered a massive police presence on the 64 Bypass near the Zoo Connector Rd. On March 3rd, 2023, around 5 p.m. deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office observed Steven Wayne Golden, a wanted suspect, on a bicycle on Staley's Farm Rd, near the Zoo Connector and attempted to contact him. Golden attempted to flee on the bicycle but crashed into a guardrail on the bridge before fleeing on foot into a wooded area, leading to a manhunt and a massive police presence in the area. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and the Moore County Sheriff's Office used a K9 to locate and arrest a wanted suspect in Seagrove last week. On February 2nd, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division Detectives and Criminal Interdiction Team responded to Little Brook Rd. in Seagrove after receiving a request to assist the Moore County Sheriff's Office in locating Corey Tyler Hussey. Hussey was wanted on several outstanding warrants by both agencies, which had been working together on several cases involving Hussey who was accused of committing larcenies in both counties.
