ASHEBORO — A shooting overnight left a 16-year-old in the hospital with a gunshot wound and police searching a second 16-year-old suspect. Friday night around 9:30 p.m., officers with the Asheboro Police Department received a report of shots fired in the area of North Asheboro Park on Canoy Drive. As officers were responding a police sergeant working off-duty at Randolph Hospital reported a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the jaw/neck area had been brought to the Emergency Room by vehicle, according to an official with the Asheboro Police Department. ASHEBORO NC - On March 28, 2023, at 7:00 a.m., all Randolph Health facilities will lift universal masking requirements for patients, visitors, and team members. In a press release, Randolph Health says the decision to make masks optional was made in collaboration with other regional healthcare systems, including Novant Health, Atrium Health, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, CaroMont Health, and Cone Health. ASHEBORO N.C. - Tomorrow Randolph Health along with most other hospitals in the area will be lifting visitor restrictions in place due to the flu. According to a press release from Randolph Health, effective 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7th, restrictions for visitors twelve and under will be lifted at Randolph Health. ASHEBORO N.C. (ACME NEWS) - Two people had to be airlifted from Randolph Hospital overnight following a Shooting on Cedar Falls Rd in Asheboro. According to a press release from the Asheboro Police Department, last night at around 11:40pm officers from the Asheboro Police Department were dispatched to 1012 Cedar Falls Road in reference to a shooting. What we have learned today is that on January 8th 2022, a private party was being held at a residence on Leonae Drive in Randleman. At around 10:30 p.m. approximately 20 people who weren't invited showed up and just an hour and fifteen minutes later at 11:45 p.m., a fight broke out in the front yard. ASHEBORO NC - Randolph Health has announced they will again be easing visitor restrictions at Randolph Hospital. The new visitation guidelines began on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 7 a.m. This is the second time this year that Randolph Health has scaled back restrictions put in place since it began to accept low-level COVID-19 patients in December of last year.
