Suspect In Armed Kidnapping Arrested After Vehicle Chase

ASHEBORO NC - A Florida man is in jail after kidnapping a woman at gunpoint and leading police in a high-speed chase vehicle chase Saturday afternoon. According to a press release from the Asheboro Police Department on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021, at around 1:42 PM, a 31-year-old female was kidnapped at gunpoint while sitting in a vehicle on Coleridge Rd in Asheboro. The suspect who police identified as 32-year-old Manuel Jesus Robles from Ocala, Florida, allegedly "forced the woman into a vehicle owned by the victim, which had been stolen earlier" according to a statement issued by the department. Suspect Wanted For Murder After Asheboro Stabbing

ASHEBORO NC - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office is asking for help locating a suspect wanted in connection to a murder. According to a press release on Saturday, April 3, 2021, deputies received a call about a stabbing at 219 Emmanuel Church Road in Asheboro. The deputies arrived and located Harold Stephen King who was deceased inside the residence. The press releases says an investigation led them to a suspect identified as Brian Cody King, who deputies believe had stabbed the victim and then left with a female. Several hours later, the female King had left with was dropped off at an unnamed location in Thomasville, where she then called 911. Armed Suspect Leads Police on High-Speed Chase

ASHEBORO N.C. - A High Point man is facing multiple felonies after hitting a patrol car during a high-speed chase. According to a press release by the Asheboro Police Department, on Monday, March 22nd, 2021, just before 6 PM officers with the Asheboro Police Department responded to the area of 281 Tremont Drive, for a call about a domestic disturbance. Officers say when they arrived, they found Bradley Allen Byers armed with a handgun. Byers fled the scene in a blue Dodge pickup-truck. Additional responding officers were able to locate Byers nearby and conducted a traffic stop. After pulling over, police say Byers got out of the vehicle armed with a handgun and refused to follow commands. According to police radio traffic, officers with the Asheboro Police Department at the Emergency Room requested backup to help with controlling a crowd of between 50-100 people growing angry and confrontational. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office on March 11th, 2021, deputies with the Sherriff's Offices Highway Criminal Interdiction Team pulled over a vehicle on I-85 in Trinity that was registered out of Texas. ASHEBORO NC - A Liberty man was arrested in a parking lot in Staley on drug trafficking charges. That's according to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. They say on March 10th, 2021, the departments Vice and Narcotics Division concluded an investigation related to the distribution of Cocaine in the Liberty / Staley area. Detectives executed a search warrant at an address in Liberty. A search warrant was also executed on a vehicle that was parked at a business in Staley. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on March 10th, 2021, deputies were called to the area of Robbins Country Rd. in Trinity to check on someone.They located a man sitting on the front porch of the residence who was police say was apparently impaired by an unknown substance and unable to provide his name.
