According to a press release by the NCDOT the sale is running Feb. 9th through the 16th. Tickets purchased as part of the sale are valid for travel anytime from March 1st to Aug. 31st, so you don't have to take that trip right now to take advantage of the deal. Fares are one way (adult) with no additional discounts. ASHEBORO N.C. - The National Weather Service and the Department of Transportation are urging drivers of hazardous traveling conditions expected tonight. Road crews were out early this morning working to clear roads of snow and ice and combined with the bright sun today road conditions have dramatically improved. "Most crews were close to completing road clearing efforts Saturday and planned to head home to rest before returning tonight to work on trouble spots where roads could refreeze." said the NC DOT in a press release today. According to a press release by the NC Highway Patrol, at 6:53 PM on Sunday, September 19th, 2021, troopers responded to the report of a crash that occurred on I-85 near Hopewell Church Road in Randolph County. Troopers say a single vehicle traveled off the roadway to the left, went down into the median and overturned. The vehicle then traveled across all southbound lanes of I-85 and came to rest on the southbound shoulder of the interstate. (Scott Pelkey / Acme News) ASHEBORO NC - Today we learned that a Christmas wreath was likely to blame for 3 car accident on I-73/74 that shutdown the highway last weekend, causing congestion on US 220 from Randleman to Asheboro. According to a report by the North Carolina Highway Patrol all three vehicles involved were traveling northbound on I-73. The driver of the lead vehicle slowed down, due to a Christmas wreath in the roadway. The car behind failed to reduce speed and collided with rear passenger side of the first car. The collision spun the lead car into the left lane. A third driver swerved off the roadway to avoid crashing into lead car. A minor 3 car accident closed the northbound lanes of I 73-74 at the Pineview exit. All traffic was detoured off onto Pineview st and down to N Fayetteville st causing congestion on the road as far down as Vision Dr. Emergency crews cleared the scene moments ago but lingering traffic may still be causing delays.
