Denton Woman Facing Felony Animal Cruelty Charges After 55 Animals Seized

mexitographer via Adobe Stock ASHEBORO N.C. - What started with an attempt to serve a criminal summons on a homeowner for letting livestock run loose, ended with 55 animals seized and a Denton woman being charged with 10 counts of felony animal cruelty charges. In a press release the Randolph County Sheriff's Office says that on June 14th, 2022 a Sargent with the department's patrol division went to a home on Sandalwood Dr. in Denton to serve a criminal summons for livestock running at large on Melina Kay Robinson. The Sheriff's Office says that they we not able to locate Robinson that day, but while they were there the Sargent noticed signs of animal neglect, which he reported to Randolph County Animal Services. Asheboro Police Officer Resigns After Off-Duty DUI Charge

ASHEBORO N.C. - An Asheboro Police officer has resigned after being charged with driving while impaired while off-duty last month. In the early morning hours of Friday, May 27th 2022, a patrol officer with the Asheboro Police Department conducted a traffic stop for suspicion of DWI on U.S. Highway 64 near Presnell St. The driver in that stop was identified by police as 25-year-old M’Leigha Tashona Brown, an off-duty officer with the Asheboro City Police Department. M’Leigha Tashona Brown Troopers with the NC State Highway Patrol, who were requested by officers on scene arrived at the traffic stop and transported Brown to the Randolph County Jail for a breath test. According to the Highway Patrol that test registered a blood alcohol level of 0.17, more than twice the legal limit. ...

(ACME NEWS) - A woman was arrested Friday night on multiple felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic violations after police say she led them on a vehicle chased that ended in a crash in the Archdale/Trinity area. A press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says that on June 10, 2022, a deputy tried to pull over a driver near Trinity Road. That driver refused to stop and led police on a high speed vehicle chase. According to a press release, on June 4th, 2022, at 7:30 pm, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report of threatening statements made towards Randleman High School on social media. The Department brought in investigators from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit who were able to identify the address where the messages were sent. Two Suspects Wanted By Police Arrested After Vehicle Pursuit In Archdale

ASHEBORO N.C. - Two individuals, both wanted by police, were involved in a 20 mile long vehicle pursuit in Archdale before being arrested yesterday. A press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says that on May 25th, 2022, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team pulled over a vehicle near Tom Hill Rd., in Archdale. That vehicle stopped briefly before fleeing the traffic stop and leading police on a 20-mile-long pursuit. The pursuit ended when officers were able to force the vehicle to stop near 10134 N. Main St. in Archdale. Pamela Grey Frisby, identified by police as the driver of the vehicle, was arrested at the scene. ASHEBORO N.C. - A suspect has been charged with Felony Assault after police say the found a victim unconscious in a home in Ramseur. According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on May 23rd, 2022, deputies with the patrol division responded to Fox Grove Rd., in Ramseur, after getting a call about an assault. Fugitive From Randolph County Captured by Bondsman In West Virginia

ASHEBORO N.C. - A Randolph County man wanted for escaping house arrest was located in West Virginia this week where he was captured by a local bail bond company. According to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on April 28th, 2022, the Electronic House Arrest Officers received notification that Jerry Allen Harlow, Jr. had removed his monitoring device. Harlow was placed on electronic house arrest on September 10th, 2020, for multiple Felony Sex Offenses. ASHEBORO N.C. - Police say they arrested a driver found unconscious in a stolen vehicle sitting in traffic in Trinity last week. On May 21, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hillsdale Park Drive, in Sophia, after getting a call about a breaking and entering in progress. Randleman Meth Investigation Leads To Drugs Seized, Felony Trafficking Charges

ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office announced that an investigation into meth distribution in Randleman led to them seizing a large quantity of drugs and charging a local man with multiple counts of felony trafficking. According to a press release, on May 10th 2022, detectives, along with the Criminal Interdiction Team, executed a search warrant at a home on Cecil Norman Rd. in Randleman. According to the Sheriff's Office during that search warrant detectives located and seized approximately 315.5 grams of Heroin, approximately 2,101.1 grams (4.6 pounds) of Methamphetamine, approximately 74.8 grams of Cocaine, approximately 338 grams of Marijuana and approximately 10.3 grams of Mushrooms.
